The Summerwood Stingrays is a summer-league swim team for swimmers ranging from five to eighteen years of age. Most are Summerwood residents, but the team also consists of swimmers from surrounding communities including Lakeshore, Summer Lake Ranch, and Water's Edge.
The Stingrays season runs from early May through the end of June. The season consists of time trials, dual meets, a divisional meet and season-end invitationals. Dual meets are held at either our Residents Club Central Pool, or at the pool of the host team.
Our coaches work hard to ensure a fun and safe environment for your swimmer with a focus on swim strokes, endurance, and starts and turns. The goal is that each swimmer improves as the season progresses while building relationships with their teammates and coaches.
The Stingrays season wouldn't be possible without the help of the families of our swimmers. Our volunteers are one of the keys to a successful swim season.
Our team is a member of the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL), which is the governing body that determines swimming rules and regulations. The Summerwood Stingrays Swim Team is a non-profit organization governed by an elected board of directors.
